On Pets

Pets are great to have, and sometimes an absolute nuisance, but you gotta love those little/big things! Whether it be a bird, a chinchilla, a dog, a cat, a fish, a lizard, or whatever, you got him/her/it because its just awesome and you felt like giving a creature a home. Pets can comfort you at night, can give you that entertainment that DOESN'T come from the TV screen, and can increase your daily joy. But that doesn't mean that they don't need equal loving/care back! Pets, like love, "take time". It will be a while before they learn that this IS for drinking and that isn't. This is a place to do your business, that isn't. But in the end, most pet owners will say that is has been completely worth it. If you've had a case where you no longer wish to own your pet or cannot continue to keep it, be sure you find a good home for them, or a shelter that has a good customer background.

No matter what though, those furry, feathered, scaly, or just plain weird little/big animals that we call pets ultimately become part of the family. :)

On Staying Fit & Active

Staying fit and active might be one of the hardest things for people to do these days- unless you're a three years old, have the metabolism of one, or are a professional athlete :) But being healthy and being fit are two different things, depending on what you think of it. Health is something that you can achieve by eating right, getting enough sleep, AND staying fit and active. Staying fit is a little different. That's something you can't expect to get off a diet! Being fit means that your body is in shape, not just eating all the right things, although that's part of becoming fit. When you are fit, that means that your body is at the normal standards of bodily function- you go to the gym, or go running and biking, you feel like you are starting to get abs under that bit of flab on your stomach, and you feel GOOD about yourself! But beware! Do NOT over work your body. This could lead to potentially drastic consequences. Staying hydrated properly is also needed. Water is great, Gatorade, Propel, and other sports drinks are fine too. Based on rumors I have heard, I would NOT go with Muscle Milk, but they are rumors that I haven't researched. VitaCoco tastes a little weird, but I find that it definitely keeps me hydrated! :)

On Caffeinated Drinks

Everyone LOVES those little guys, They might be that soda in your hand, or the tea that's brewing, or the coffee you had this morning. But there is a difference between caffeine and SUGAR. The healthiest slightly caffeinated drink for you is going to be the tea that your grandma makes out of tea bags, or that your next door neighbor steeps on a daily basis using a tea ball. Teas that you buy in stores, such as Nestea or AriZona are mostly made of sugar sugar sugar! Freshly brewed tea is VERY good for you, has caffeine in it, and best of all, has health benefits! Depending on what kind of tea you have, it could do anything from being energizing to curbing your appetite. A great place to find tea blends and information about teas and what they can do for you is this place called Teavana. Check it out!

On Sleep

Get it. Love it. Use it to your advantage. Its good for you, but too much sleep will cause you to be drowsier than you were when you went to bed! Sleep will help keep your body healthy, your mind clear, and your spirit strong. Sleep will ultimately keep you and your life together. If you have problems sleeping at night, assess the situation before you go take a sleeping pill. Sometimes its just the way you are lying. Perhaps the pillow isnt soft enough. Maybe a new mattress is in line? Or if its 'cause you are scared of something in the closet, try turning on a lamp and sleeping if it will help, just make sure you don't bother anyone such as a roommate, or someone down the hall if you keep your door open. Having pets/stuffed animals/loved ones nearby will help too. :)

Don't be afraid to ask questions!

So, its the Beginning Here

So, here it is, the latest creation!

I created this blog becuase I was inspired to by one of my dear friends Izzy. She has a blog as well, and I wil have to share the link with you. Eventually :) But for now, allow me to explain what this blog "does".

I created this blog so that I would have a place where I could rant and rave about life and its goings ons. So any of these posts could be about the mind-body-and-spirit or it could be about YouTube or it could be about Unicorns. But mostly, it will be about encouraing you to be who YOU are and be the best you YOU can be. :) Hope it works :)
